A trick I learned many years ago from my father in law who was a pipefitter by trade. I had copper water pipe in a wall and I could not quite get the water to stop dripping. He suggested packing the inside of the pipe with clay to stop the flow. Once complete and the water turned on the clay flushed out. Aug 04, 2018 Came home last night to a nice stain across the ceiling after a week away and after much investigation found it to be a very slow leaking cistern. It's not going to be all that cheap. You might just want to get some cheap "hose repair" fittings over by the garden hoses. They make them in plastic and it would only cost you another pair of hose clamps.
